Cement plastering ചെയ്യാത്ത 1500 വർഷം പഴക്കമുള്ള വരരുചിയുടെ തറവാട് കേരളത്തിൽ ഉണ്ട്. പഴയ നാലുകെട്ട്കൾ ഒന്നും തന്നെ cement plastering ചെയ്യാത്തതാണ്. 10 വർഷം മുൻപ് എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിൽ വെട്ട്കല്ല് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് പണിത ഒരു ഭവനം cement plastering ചെയ്തതല്ല. അത് രണ്ട് നില ഇല്ലമാണ്.
പക്ഷെ ഇപ്പോഴും സംശയം ഇതു നമ്മുടെ കാലാവസ്ഥക്ക് അനുയോജ്യമാണോ ഈർപ്പം പ്രശ്നമല്ലേ ഇതിനു
